Untapping the Potential of our State Forests – Have Your Say
Huge portions of this amazing state of New South Wales are official state forests which are owned by the State (of NSW) or the Crown. The state and Crown licence logging activities to take place on these large tracts of land and that is what has always occurred. However the 20 year period under which the previous logging took place is coming to an end and a new round of licencing is being prepared. Public submissions are being accepted at the moment which enable though of us who go out into places like state forests to have our say on what happens to them for the next 20 years or so. So head over to the public consultation site and, if the natural environment is at all important to you, lodge a submission.
